I grew up in Indonesia, in the island of Java. My love for cooking grows from my love for food, I guess. I even started my recipe collection when I was 12, then I would show my Mom which food I wanted to have.

Both my parents love to cook. This is how we celebrate. What we do when we have time off, we get together, cook and eat together. My cooking style is most influenced by my family, of course, Indonesian Chinese style. But I am open to try out new recipes, including Japanese, Thai, Malay, Korean, Vietnamese, Western Cuisine, and so on..

Btw, I am obsessed with Japanese stuff, from dorama, mangas, bentos, and lots of their cute products. I am a person who loves doing stuff around the house, and stay in the house. Besides cooking, I love watching dramas, anime, blogging, and organizing. I love taking photographs of my creations. My hobbies seem crazy to a lot of people, including my dearest. He just doesn’t understand how I can stand staying in the house all day long, even weeks, and just busy playing in the kitchen, while the sun shines beautifully outside.

I think I’ll make bento as my blog’s centerstage. Especially now I am trying to lose weight. Making bento helps me a lot to reach my long lifetime goal. I use chopsticks so that I don’t eat as fast. So far I am doing pretty good. Gosh. I envy those who have super metabolism, can eat everything but not gain weight.

To me cooking is my way of relaxing. Maybe it is because the way I was raised. It reminds me of home. It is a joy to be able to create something good. I wish I can share them to many.

If you have any questions about the recipes, ingredients, feel free to e-mail me. Happy cooking!
